Giving Thanks!

It's Hip Hop time!

And today the Ippity and Unity DT members are showing off some
projects that can be used for Thanksgiving Table Decor.

My family is rich in tradition and each year on Thanksgiving we all write down what we are thankful for and share it with each other before we have our Thanksgiving blessing.  It is always fun to hear what each member of my family is thankful for and I especially love to hear what the kids have to say.  It usually evokes tears in me... I am kind of sappy that way!

What I decided to make for today's Hip Hop may not be actual table decor, but at our Thanksgiving table this year you will find one of these in front of each person's plate.

I created a "Thanks For" card for each person to use to write down what they are thankful for.

I used the leaf, the journaling stamp (turned upside down) and the word "for" from the Fall For You stamp set and the word "Thanks" from The Simple Things stamp set.  The DP is from Recollections.

Here are the sets used to create my project...

I colored the leaf in with Copic Markers and used my Gelly Roller to hightlight the veins and edges.  The words were stamped with SU's Really Rust ink to coordinate with the DP.  Three small rhinestones were added to the the little flowers on the journaling block.

It's not official yet, but it looks like I am hostessing Thanksgiving dinner for my family this year, so I better get busy making a bunch more of these!!

But now for you, please head on to the next Ippity Blog to complete the Hip Hop!

Your next stop is Lisa Arana's blog!
And make sure that to see the whole Hop that you start at the beginning at the Unity Blog!

This is a WONDERFUL idea. I was thinking along similar lines that I should do something like this for each person too-how sweet. These came out darling, Kelly!

Kelly, I am sorry I didn't visit before, but I am here now and I LOVE what you created and what a beautiful tradition as well. I might just have to make something like this. We do the same, but without writing it down...but I love this idea even more! Hugs...Eva
