When I saw Karen's Inspiration photo for this week's challenge, I immediately thought of the Bible verse from 1 Corinthians 13:13 which says "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." Love is such a wonderful thing and I am so blessed to have so much of it in my life from my friends and family. I truly am blessed and so thankful for it!
I used Alphabetically Adorable to stamp the letters L-O-V-E and then also added flowers from this Spring's release set Now and Always. I love the colors from the photo and chose to stick with those too. I used post-it's to mask off the center around the letters.
I loved how there were birds in the image too so I also added two of the birds from the What Matters Most set. I paper pieced them and otherwise used the ink from Stampin' Up and some Copic markers to stamp the flowers and color in some of the centers. The DP is from Crate Papers Paper Doll Collection.

Maria was kind enough to make an awesome sketch for us to use. It includes two 12 x 12 sketches that could be used separately or together for a double page spread.
I chose to use the single layout on the right for my page.
This sketch was the perfect one to use for these recent pictures I got of my son. His name is Ricky and he has a very original pattern of freckles on his face. If you were to connect the freckles on the left side of his face (the right side in the photo) you would be able to form a half smile!
Can you see Ricky's freckles in this shot? I repeated the theme of dots on the layout by stamping circles using the dotted background stamp from the {ippity}Love in Return set. I also added buttons and clusters of buttons to continue the "dot" theme. I also added a border on top of the center strip using the same dotted stamp!
The original stamp comes from the Love in Return set also!
The journaling reads...
"Look closely at Ricky's face and notice the row of freckles that if you
connect like a dot-to-dot it would form half a smile. He's Unique!

Some of you may have noticed that I didn't do a blog post over the weekend!! And if you didn't, that's OK too!! But I had a wonderful time on Saturday getting together with some of my stamping friends that I met online through Stamp TV's Florida group. What a wonderful bunch of ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing!!
We went to a LSS (Local Scrapbook Store) in Ocala and spent the day creating, coloring,
chatting and eating!! It was so fun!!

Here is one of Asela and Deb! They are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. I have had the pleasure of meeting Deb many times before, but this was my first time meeting Asela. What a sweet and talented lady she is!! I can't wait until we can do this again!! It was so much fun!
I did a lot of shopping while I was there and bought some Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, Basic Grey,Creative Imaginations and SEI papers that you will surely be seeing in the future. While there, I spent the majority of my day working on an album cover for my puppy's first year. It was a submission for the Dirty Dozen Gallery this month. Our theme was critters!! It was super fun to create for this month's gallery and my Sunday was spent finalizing my projects and uploading them for the new DD Gallery reveal Sunday night as well as preparing for Monday's Hippity Hop!!

I made the title using the word Puppy from the DCWV Pet Tales line of paper and the word LOVE that I stamped using {ippity's}Alphabetically Adorable set. full of wonderful Critter Creationsthat were submitted by the Dirty Dozen. Unfortunately it was my last month as a Dirty Girl. :-( I can't believe how fast that six months went! We welcomed in two new Dirty Girls this month too that you will definitely want to meet!
And finally I had time to catch up and play along with last week's Whimsie Doodles Challenge (WWC22) on Paper Craft's Planet. We were challenged by Nikki to use Glitter on our card! So I made a cute Easter card using one of the images from Whimsie Doodles Easter Sentiments collection which is available in red rubber to make this card...
While I am not a fan of eating those little Marshmallow Treats at Easter time, I did find it absolutely adorable to work with! Doesn't it look sweet enough to eat??
I added my glitter in the form of crystal glitter called Diamond Dust. I think it made the peep look just like they come with the candy crystal sugar coating on top!

I really can't believe that this day has come!! And without getting too sentimental on you, my baby boy is turning 16 years old today! While he might be the last child of my four, preceded by three older sisters, Ricky is hardly a baby in stature! He is pushing six feet tall and basically towers over his mommy!!

And this is one of us from last August... I love that boy!! What a sweetheart he is!!
Ricky has a heart of gold. He is loved by anyone who knows him and is passionate about animals and fishing. He is definitely growing up too fast right now... he got his first girlfriend last month and will get his driver's license later this month!! Oh boy!! Let the fun begin!!

Here is the card that I created for today's BOY challenge!
To make this card I stamped the banners from the Winter 2010 Love in Return set onto the blue, green and orange papers. Then I used rub-ons to spell HAPPY. To make the Birthday I stamped the letters from the Alphabetically Adorable set from the Fall 2009 line and colored them in with Copics. I placed a coordinating ribbon underneath the banner to make it appear like it is suspended. All the colors were chosen to match the DP from Scenic Route.
