Playing Catch Up!

Some of you may have noticed that I didn't do a blog post over the weekend!!  And if you didn't, that's OK too!!  But I had a wonderful time on Saturday getting together with some of my stamping friends that I met online through Stamp TV's Florida group.  What a wonderful bunch of ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing!!

We went to a LSS (Local Scrapbook Store) in Ocala and spent the day creating, coloring,
chatting and eating!!  It was so fun!!

In the back row from L-R is Asela Hopkins, Paige (my BFF's niece), Tiffani (my BFF),
Cathy Clark (our hostess) and me!  In the front from L-R is Deb Felts (my DD pal),
Naomi, Barbara and Vianna (my partner in crime!)

Here is one of Asela and Deb! They are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet.  I have had the pleasure of meeting Deb many times before, but this was my first time meeting Asela.  What a sweet and talented lady she is!! I can't wait until we can do this again!!  It was so much fun!

I did a lot of shopping while I was there and bought some Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, Basic Grey, Creative Imaginations and SEI papers that you will surely be seeing in the future.  While there, I  spent the majority of my day working on an album cover for my puppy's first year.  It was a submission for the Dirty Dozen Gallery this month.  Our theme was critters!!  It was super fun to create for this month's gallery and my Sunday was spent finalizing my projects and uploading them for the new DD Gallery reveal Sunday night as well as preparing for Monday's Hippity Hop!!

Here is a snippet of the album cover I made for our puppy Tasha.   I made the title using the word Puppy from the DCWV Pet Tales line of paper and the word LOVE that I stamped using {ippity's} Alphabetically Adorable set.  You can see the whole picture by going HERE, but you will have to be a Fan Club Member to view it.  (Want to become a Fan Club Member?... Click HERE to learn more about it!)

I hope you will go and check out this month's
full of wonderful Critter Creations  that were submitted by the Dirty Dozen.  Unfortunately it was my last month as a Dirty Girl. :-(   I can't believe how fast that six months went!  We welcomed in two new Dirty Girls this month too that you will definitely want to meet!

And finally I had time to catch up and play along with last week's Whimsie Doodles Challenge (WWC22) on Paper Craft's Planet.  We were challenged by Nikki to use Glitter on our card!  So I made a cute Easter card using one of the images from Whimsie Doodles Easter Sentiments collection which is available in red rubber to make this card...

While I am not a fan of eating those little Marshmallow Treats at Easter time, I did find it absolutely adorable to work with!   Doesn't it look sweet enough to eat??

I added my glitter in the form of crystal glitter called Diamond Dust.  I think it made the peep look just like they come with the candy crystal sugar coating on top!

In closing....

Tonight at midnight my {ippity} blog candy drawing closes and I will be picking one lucky winner to win an {ippity} set of their choice!

I played Hooky!!

I didn't plan it this way yesterday, but after completing the Dirty Dozen Gallery late Thursday night, I was pretty well spent from a creative standpoint.  Not to mention that spending lots of time in my craftroom and keeping out of the freezing weather we have recently had has made me kind of stir crazy!!

So it was a beautiful day yesterday and I decided NOT to spend it on my computer.  I went to work twice yesterday morning, but I was done with that by around 12:30.  On a whim, my best friend Tiffani and I got together for lunch, then went shopping, and then we hung out at her house for the whole evening.  She let me raid her closet for some clothes to bring to CHA with me and we just talked and laughed and had a good time.  I so love her and was happy to have a day to spend with her. It just doesn't happen often enough anymore!!

So what I would have told you yesterday if I had blogged was that the January Dirty Dozen/ Fan Club Gallery is now OPEN!!

It is such a fun theme this month and I am sure you will want to go and check it out and also play along with us.  Think FLORAL, FEMININE and FLIRTY and prepared for a frilly, girly gallery that is full of yummy creations made by the Dirty Dozen!

Here is a collection of some snippets from my submissions!!

DD Gallery Opening and Whimsie Doodles Release Day!!

It is the 15th of the month and besides it being payday (yeah!!) it is also the day that the

Splitcoaststamper's Dirty Dozen/Fan Club Gallery opens

AND it is also a

New release day for Whimsie Doodles!!

I have been working like a fool because I am such a procrastinator who probably has a little touch of ADD as well!  I have just been swamped lately with deadlines and Christmas.  I am really happy that the Galllery projects got completed and uploaded even if it was just in the nick of time!  I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest.  Next month I am not going to wait too long to start my projects.  That is going to be one of my resolutions for 2010!  LOL!

To view the Fan Club Gallery at Splitcoaststampers, you can Click HERE.  But you have to be a Fan Club member to do so.  So if you aren't a Fan Club member, then click HERE to find out how you can become one!  The fee is minimal and gives you awesome advantages over the free membership!

The DD Gallery's theme this month is "Home for the Holidays" and it is filled with fabulous submissions from the current Dirty Dozen!!  You can also find out who the new Dirty Girls are if you head over there!!

Here is a snippet from one of my submissions!!

Now for Whimsie Doodles!!  It is another release day!! Woohoo!!

I just love my WD stamps and look forward to playing with them as often as I can!  Today there are two new stamps available for puchase.  I am going to share only one of them with you now, and if all goes well, I will be back later to share another one with you this afternoon!

Here is the card that I created for one of the Whimsie Doodles releases today.  The digistamp is called Lush and from the looks of things, it is a very appropriate name!!

What do you think of that color combo?  It is olive green, navy and red!! After adding the red into the olives with Stickles, I decided to go with more red making it my accent color.  I think I like it, but I don't think I will have a lot of opportunity to use this combination again!  Just so you know, this is also the sample card that I made for the sketch challenge that will start tomorrow on the WD group at Paper Craft Planet.  So now you can get a little head start if you want to!  Wink!

Here is a closeup of the image. I colored the cute little lamb in with Copics, and kind of made her dirty like you sometimes see the wool being after the animals are roaming around on the farm.  The set that starts selling today comes with Lush in the martini glass and the sentiment too!

To purchase this Lush stamp, please visit the Whimsie Doodles stamp store and click on the Winter images tab.  Or click HERE to be taken directly there.

On this view I am trying to show you how I applied Diamond glaze to the martini glass to make it seem more realistic. It adds some depth and shine to the card as well!  The card stock used is Bazzill which I ran through the script embossing folder on my CB, and the DP is from K& Co.  The sentiment was printed out on white CS and both it and the mat were cut using oval nesties!

I hope you head on over to both the Fan Club Gallery at SCS and to the Whimsie Doodles store to grab this new image!! Have a great day and I hope to be back later with another creation from the other newly released WD digi!

Have a great Tuesday and may your bucket overflow with opportunities to enjoy the spirits  this holiday season!

Are you a SCS Fan Club Member?

I am and I want you to be one too!!

Now that I am in the Splitcoaststamper's Dirty Dozen I want to be able to share with you what I created for this month's Fan Club Gallery! However, As much as I would like to, I just can't, quite yet! So, here are some snippets of my submissions for this month's Gallery. The theme was "Treats All Around." I hope this peek might entice you to join so you can see all of these projects in full and also the submissions from the 11 other Dirty Girls!

So, if you want to see these and many other projects you just have to become a Fan Club member! By becoming a Fan Club member you not only get access to look at all the projects that the Dirty Dozen contribute to the monthly DD Gallery, but there are many other perks as well.

Taken directly from the SCS website, here is some more information about becoming a Fan Club Member...

What is the Fan Club?
The Splitcoast Fan Club is our paid subscription program. We provide some great extra benefits to Fan Club members, including access to special monthly galleries created by the twelve members of the Splitcoaststampers Design Team, dubbed the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen.

How does it work?

Each month, members of the Dirty Dozen are given a design challenge. The best of their creations are added to a special gallery that Fan Club members can visit for ideas and inspiration. We announce and open the new gallery on the 15th of each month.

What about the galleries from past months?

As a Fan Club member you have access to every gallery back to July, 2004 when we first launched the Fan Club.

What other benefits are there?

Fan Club members get instant (no approval required) upload privileges in the gallery, and access to a special forum containing templates and instructions for design team projects. (This is one of my favorite perks! :-) )

Will I need another password or something?

No extra passwords or anything complicated. Once you’ve joined, the Dirty Dozen gallery will show up alongside all the other gallery categories. You’ll be able to check out the new additions each month, leave your comments, ask questions, etc. just like any other gallery.

How do I join?

Fan Club subscriptions are $24.95 (USD) per year or $14.95 for 6 months. You’ll receive a receipt and welcome note via e-mail and your membership will activate immediately. Please note: if paying via e-check your subscription will not activate until your payment clears.

Where’s the money go?

Fan Club subscriptions (along with advertising) are the primary revenue source for Splitcoaststampers. When we launched the Fan Club in July of 2004 we were still small and had very little overhead. Our expenses today are much higher and fall almost completely into one of two categories - people and technology. The people who work here are tremendous, really! You can meet them on our Team page. Servers and bandwidth are another significant expense - our combined operations require multiple servers and over a terabyte of bandwidth each month.

Here is a direct link to the page where this information came from and where you can read even more about the Fan Club.

I hope that you will consider joining the SCS Fan Club if for no other reason than to support the awesome stamping community that they provide for us. Thanks for letting me advertise a little here, I just love SCS and hope that you do too!!
