SheetLoad, ShortCuts and Cardvaarks Oh My!

I have another Intersite challenge to share with you today! Alicia with SheetLoad of Cards and the Owner of ShortCuts has teamed up with the Caardvarks site to make a challenge for all of the DT members on each of the sites.

Our assignment was to make a card or project using the July SheetLoad sketch and a ShortCuts product. Have you ever heard of ShortCuts before? Well the concept of Alicia's store is to sell products that help you make cards faster and to be more productive with your projects. She has done some of the work for you already and has products that work so well with other products that half the work is done and you get to focus all your time on embellishing!!

The product that I used from ShortCuts is one of the Frosted Card bases that you can see below. These bases are made of high quality thick semi translucent plastic that is fun to use with your coordinating cardstocks. Here is a view of the card front so you can see the amount of translucency that you get with the frosted card base! As you can see in my sample below, I have a window cut out of my cardstock that allows you to see through to the stamped image on the inside!

It is like giving the card recipient a little sneak peek of what is to come!!

Next is a view of the inside of the card that shows the full stamped image with the sentiment that was computer generated! This digistamp is one of Melyssa Connolly's from Whimsie Doodles. This adorable image comes with a sentiment that says "I'm FLIPPED over you" but I didn't want to use a sentiment for this card that seemed like a valentine to me. So, I put my thinking cap on and figured out another cute way to use this adorable little turtle that is flipped over on his shell. I decided to make this an apology card that I will probably end up giving to some one in my family after snap at them for being all stressed out trying to get a card done to make a deadline!! LOL!!!

Here is a closeup of the stamped image. I used Prismacolors and Gamsol to color the image. I cut it out of white cardstock and placed it onto the previously printed out sentiment that was also printed on to white cardstock.

Sorry I Flipped My Lid
