You are going to love these (Think Halloween and Birthday!!)

Since we are talking SheetLoad today I thought I would share with you another one of my SheetLoad submissions for the August sketch! Don't you think that Liz Weber did a phenomenal job on this sketch? She has designed a sketch that can be used over and over again. I hope that you are saving your SheetLoad issues for future reference. They are always great to refer back to!

Sweet N Sassy Stamps is the sponsor of this month's issue and I was able to get this digistamp for FREE for participating in the challenges at the Stampin Out Alzheimer's event that was recently held. The stamp isn't for free anymore, but for a reasonable price, you can purchase it at the SNS store HERE! It just so happens to be on sale too!!

The awesome card base is from ShortCuts. It is called the Clear Card Base and can be purchased from HERE! If you visit the Whimsie Doodles website post HERE, you can find a coupon code to get this at a discount price until September 1st!)The scalloped frame, the four squares and the digistamped images are all on the card front. Then on the inside is the DP from Cosmo Cricket! I love how the clear card bases make everything look like they are floating in thin air!!

Here is a closeup of the stamped images. I printed them out onto 110lb Georgia Pacific CS and then colored them in with my Copics.

I hope that you will head over to the SheetLoad website and get your copy of this month's issue. Remember if you give SheetLoad a Shout Out, you could be the happy winner of two free Whimsie Doodles digistamps!!

Until next time, have a great day and may your bucket overflow with the warmth of a sunny day!!

Now with my DT duties out of the way I wanted to wish a special someone a very happy birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIFFANY!!!!

Tiffany is my third daughter who recently graduated from high school and is preparing for a career in law enforcement. She has a new job working very closely with our local Police Department and she just LOVES it!! I think she was made for this field of work and she will be very good at it.

Tiffany is on the right with her good friend Jessica!

Tiffany is a sweet and fun loving young lady who has made me so proud. It is never hard to get her to smile, even if she thinks she is mad at me!! She loves to laugh and have a good time, yet she always tries to set a good example for her friends. We love her so much and hope that she has a very special today!
She decided on her own to go PARASAILING today to celebrate her birthday! This scares me to death! But, since she is 19 and an adult, I didn't try to stop her! I will try and share photos of that with you at a later date! I am sure she will have a good time!

Using my new favorite technique of coloring on a black and white image printed on acetate, I made this card for her birthday...

The photo was a random image I found on the internet. I used my new "flying high" stamp that came in the Unity In-Store only kit called 100% Happiness. The rest of the sentiment was computer generated. The DP is from We R Memory Keepers.

She is going to love this card since it will always remind her of her 19th birthday when she went parasailing! Later today we are going to have a cookout with her friends on the lake and spend some time in the pool, on the boat or kayaks and jet skiing! It sounds like a fun packed day... just the kind Tiffany likes!

I wanted to leave you with some of the layouts that I have done of Tiffany in the past. I can't believe that it has been 19 years since she was born. My how time flies!!

Sorry for the long post, but thanks for taking a glimpse into my life and celebrating with me my special daughter's birthday!

I hope you have a great day and may your bucket overflow with many special memories of the loved ones in your life!

Shout Out to Sheetload!

One of my Riverview friends shared with me the Sheetload of Cards website many months ago and I finally got around to using some of their sketches a month or so ago. Unfortunately I never posted any of those cards. Well today I had the opportunity to use the sketches from their February Issue and I wanted to give them a shout out and thank them and Unity Stamps for sponsoring such a great issue and for providing this awesome sketch to use!
The concept of their sketches is that they will help you make many cards at once by providing you with all the right measurements and amounts of paper and embellishments you will need. Basically they take all the hard work out of making cards and leave the fun part, the assembling and embellishing to us!
Take a look at this month's February 09 issue and see how easy it would be to create some cards. (If that link takes you to a page showing the Unity Sponsorship, but no link to the issue, then go to their main page and scroll down through old posts until you get to the February 2nd post. From there you can click on the picture of the issue and get the download.)
What I tend to do is use their sketches to find ways to use up scraps that I have on hand from a previous project.
Below are two cards that I created using their February sketch. I varied the measurements slightly to suit my needs, but I stuck really close to the original!

The Fine Print: DP: Scenic Route; Stamps: Unity February SOTM club house image, SU Home Tweet Home, SU Fun and Fast Notes "Congratulations"; Flowers: Prima and ?, Ink: Amuse Black ink and Copic Markers, Brads: MM.

The Fine Print: DP: Scenic Route; Stamps: Stamping Bellas Belinda Bumperboots, SU A Little Birdie Told Me sentiment, Flowers: Prima and ?; Ink: Amuse Black ink and Copic Markers, Rhinestones: Unknown.

Here are the other cards I told you that I had created earlier using other sketches from SheetLoad of Cards. In these I also used up some leftover materials I had lying around. It is nice to make quick cards and have some on hand for those occasions that always seem to come up.

The Fine Print: DP: HOTP and Creative Imaginations; CS: Sam's Club (white) and Gin X (dark purple). Varied ribbons unknown, Embellishments unknown. Opaque white marker, dew drops, brads, Copic Markers and Flowers. Stamps listed below.

The first two cards come from the Sheetload of Cards November 08 issue.

The Fine Print: Stamps: SU; Fun and Fast Notes, and Nest from SU Nellie the Nest Lady

The Fine Print: Stamps: Sarah Beise Cupcake, Sentiment from SU Wishing Well

The Last two come from the Sheetload of Cards January 09 Issue.

The Fine Print: Stamp: SU Merci Butterfly, SU Sentiment from A Little Birdie Told Me.

The Fine Print: Stamps: Inkadinkadoo Party Hat, Sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps.

It feels great to spend less time creating cards and using up my stash of scraps at the same time! I love Sheetload!!

Have a great night and may your bucket be overflowing with lots of sketches to use!
