Have your Cake and Eat it too!!

Happy Hippity Hop!!

I hope you stateside friends enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday!!  It was wonderful for me and I am sorry that we have to get back to the weekly routine!  However, since Christmas time is my favorite time of the year, I guess I can't complain that we are getting closer to that now!!

Eva is today's host for our Hippity Hop Challenge.  And she has given us a site full of inspiration to find some creative mojo from.  Her challenge is IHHC52 and she would like us to be inspired by one of the cakes at the website called Cakes for Occasions.

Boy was I getting hungry looking through this site!! LOL!

But I finally landed on THIS CAKE as my inspiration and here is what I created from that inspiration...

Ordinarily I wouldn't have chosen to put the garnet and goldish yellow colors together (mostly because I am a Florida Gator fan and not a Florida State fan,) but I have to admit this combo has a nice elegance to it!  I decide to use the "wishing you" sentiment from the So This is Love Ippity stamp set and create an anniversary or wedding card.  The inside sentiment (not shown) says "love and laughter."

Here are the three Ippity stamp sets I used to create this card...

And here is a closeup of the front...

I have to thank Eva again for this fabulous ribbon!!  She sent this satin ribbon to me as well and I love the size and feel of it!! It forms wonderful bows!!  And it was the perfect touch to finish off my card!!  Thanks Eva!!  ♥

That's all I have for you today, but be sure to start the Hop at the
where you will find the list of today's Hop participants
and be sent around cyberspace to find some amazing Ippity inspiration!!

Enjoy your day and be sure to check out your

May your bucket overflow with Love and Laughter!

For the Love Birds

Wow! Has it really been two days since I posted any cards on my blog?  How does that happen when I feel like all I do is make cards??  LOL!!

Well I have something else to share with you today that has some of the newly released {Ippity} stamps on it!  I made an anniversary card for my dear sweet SIL and her husband for their Anniversary!

The love birds in the cage are the perfect sentiment for any love birds in your life. Why not use them on a Wedding card or a Valentine's Day card, or just cause you want to show someone they are loved.  They are the cutest little birds!  They come from the {Ippity} set called Because of You.

To make the love birds pop right off the page, I added some glitter glue that is shimmery in tones of green and blue with a really neat irridescence to it.  I love the way that it coordinated with my DP from K & Co.

The perfect sentiment for this Anniversary card came from the {Ippity} set called Just Wanted to Say.  There are some wonderful sentiments in that collection that you will be able to use over and over again!  And did you see that amazing fishnet trim I used?  I found that pre-cut at my LSS and had to grab that up.  I love it!!

I have {Ippity} stamps for sale in my hot little hands and would love to get them into your hands, so if you are interested in purchasing them at a very reduced rate (as a package deal) then please check out my {Ippity} Sales blog for more information!  Click HERE to go to my {Ippity} Sales blog!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and may your bucket overflow with reasons to sing like a caged bird who has been set free!!

Friends with Flair Friday!

Hi there Unity friends!!  How are you doing on this wonderful Friday?  I am so happy that it is that special day of the week when we all get to share our Unity creations with each other.

Since I consider you guys my friends, I am going to ask a favor of you at the end of my post.  I am going to need your opinion on something. But  I will get to that later!

The card I am showing you today might be given to my husband for our 1st anniversary which is this Sunday.

Do any of you find it difficult to make masculine cards?  I sure do.  So I am always afraid that the stamps I choose are too frilly for a guy, or I have a hard time finding embellishments that aren't too feminine!

My card today uses many Unity and even one {Ippity} stamp.  The "It's Love" stamp, and the Months and Day strip stamps come from Unity's November Scrapping kit.

The "Celebrate" stamp is from the April 09 KOM.  The "simply be who you are" strip is from the November KOM and the Love words collage is from the {Ippity} Because of You" set.

The martini glass was cut out of Designer paper from Creative Imaginations twice and layered onto the card with pop dots.  The black strip of DP is from BG's Eerie paper pad collection.  I had a happy accident of sorts when I dropped my ink pad onto the clean white surface of my nearly completed card.  I felt like crying but then realized that I could distress the whole card and probably still make it work, and I ended up liking it even better!

So I need your help!!  Which card do you think
is better for me to give to my husband??

The Just My Type card that I made last week or today's card???
