Now, are you ready to H{ippity} Hop??

With each new H{ippity} Hop we have a new challenge for the week!  We have been teasing Maria because of the challenge she chose for us!  It was a REAL challenge for most of us because in honor of President's Day, Maria has asked us to make a card that is RED, WHITE, and BLUE!  

In all honesty it wasn't as bad as it sounded like it would be, and in fact, I like the way my challenge card turned out!  We hope you will play along with us.  You have until Sunday night to upload your card for a chance to win a prize, but of course you can play along with our challenges at any time you like.  If you play along, just add the Keyword IHHC11 when you upload it!

At some point in worrying about what to do for this challenge, it dawned on me that just because it was President's Day or because the challenge was for RED, WHITE, and BLUE, it didn't mean that it had to be patriotic!  At that point it got a whole lot easier to come up with something to create!!  LOL!

I used the two birdies and the flowers from the What Matters Most set and added some scraps of paper that I had in my stash!  The blue checked base paper is from Sassafrass Lass and the red checked paper is from Recollections.  The word Giggle, and the flowers were paper pieced from a DP collection by Junkitz. 

I colored the birds and flowers with Copic markers and added the buttons from Clear and Simple Stamps.  I scored on a lot of buttons at the CHA Supershow this year and bought them in a variety of basic colors!!  You might be seeing a lot of buttons on my projects !!
