Whimsie Doodles Bunny Blog Hop!

Yeah!! The new Whimsie Doodles stamps are here!!

Did you like the sneak peeks, or rather the little teasers we showed you yesterday?  Well today we get to show you everything!!  And then you get to go to Whimsie Doodles and buy some new stamps!!

Welcome to the Bunny Blog Hop of Whimsie Doodle Proportions!!

We have some SUPER cute images to share with you, and we can't wait to get started!  but first let me tell you how the BUNNY HOP is going to work!

You can win a free Whimsie Doodles image by collecting all the letters that are on the DT blogs and unscrambling a special word.  Simply hop from blog to blog and collect a letter.  Then once you have them all collected, you will unscramble those letters to get a coupon code to use in the Whimsie Doodles store so that you can download this adorable Jelly Belly image free!

The leter that you are looking for on my blog stop is the letter

But before you start hopping to the other DT members' blogs to get the rest of your letters, let me show you the projects that I made special for today's New Release!

This card showcases the digistamp image called Bunny Leah!  I just love this little girl!  Besides the fact that she is so adorable, she also has the same name as my daughter!!  I will be sending this to my granddaughter for Easter this year!

Bunny Leah was colored with Copic markers.  She was placed on two Nestie scalloped circles and then on top of this springy DP from MM.  The flowers are from Prima and Kaiser and the brads are from BG.  I added ribbon that I bought from a local Stampfest, stitched around the edges and added a border punch from MS to complete this frilly look!

Here is my next project to share...

The stamp set you see here is called Koale's Chicks.  Isn't he so cute sitting on that bale of hay and playing with his chicks?  I actually added two of the chicks to the image to help create a barnyard type scene.  The ground and grass were created using sponging and my Copic markers.  I also added the border of paper grass using the new MS grass border punch.

The brads I added are from BG.  The images were colored with Copics.  The sentiment you see here is just one of the adorably whimsical ones that Melyssa has come up with for this release!  She has the cutest most clever sayings!!

And for the last project I have to show you for today's release...

This image is called Leah's Basket.  The sentiment comes in the collection.    The basket and eggs were colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the BG paper from the Lemonade line.  The sketch is SC12 from the Master collection of sketches at SCS.  Here is a picture of the sketch...

This sketch goes back to when tearing was popular, but I decided to change that up and use my border punches instead of tearing the edges.

I didn't make a sample for the last set that is being released today but she also is releasing these amazing sentiments that would work perfectly with any of these sets, or even on their own....

Easter Sentiments

{ippity} Sneak Peek #1- Winter 2010

New {ippity} is coming!!!

We have waited and waited for three months now for some new {ippity} rubber to play with and it is finally coming!!  Beginning Monday, the new sets are available for sale to the general public!!  Are you as excited as I am???

Have you been curious to see what is coming out?

Is the suspense killing you???  Well today you are going to get a sneak peek at what is in TWO of the new sets from our DT and some special guests!!

The first set I am going to show you comes from the Fishy Philosophy set that is filled with fish and items you would find in the deep blue sea!

Take a look at this...

Isn't this just the cutest??  Featured from the Fishy Philosophy set are the fish, seaweed, coral and Fintastic sentiment.  The Birthday Wishes sentiment you probably recognize from the Just Wanted to Say set.  I was able to use another sketch from the SCS Master Sketch Challenge list for this one.  Here is the picture of sketch SC07...

I am still working my way through these sketches and having a fun time doing it!

I colored all the images in using my Copic markers.  The fish shows a very cool blending technique that I learned at my Certification class and will share with you in the future.  I added some atyou Spica  sheen to the fish and some glitter glue with iridescence to the coral. The DP is from SEI. I used the tiny bubbles on the coordinating cardstock from the backs of the sets DP.

So speaking of FINTASTIC... isn't this set just FANTASTIC???

Ready for another sneak???

See what you think about this one...

This card comes from a new set called Moon Beams and Heart Strings.  It is so versatile!  For my project I went masculine, but it also contains sentiments that would be perfect for Love, Baby and more themes!

I drew my star freehand on a coaster after stamping my sentiment.  Then I highlighted the words "Shoot" and "moon" with coordinating Copic colors.  The DP is from KI Memories.  The stitching around the card and the star is faux that I did with a brown colored pencil.

For the stars and moon I paper pieced a select number of them.  Then I hand stitched my strings with brown embroidery floss.

So does this set take you over the moon like it does me?

If you are interested in pre-ordering either of the sets you see here today, just stop by my {ippity} sales blog for pricing and a little special I have for you.  You can get to my sales blog by clicking HERE, or on the tab at the top of my blog!

Still want to see More??

A Whimsie Filled Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday to all of you!!
I hope your week is progressing nicely and that the horrible weather I keep hearing about isn't putting a damper on your plans!!  We here in FL are starting to feel another cold snap that I hear will be worse by Thursday!! Brrr!!  I am so ready for spring!!

If you didn't see my previous post about my new Blog Makeover then you might be seeing my new blog look for the first time today!!  I love the new feel to it and think it will be nicer for you to look at with some of the clutter removed!  I still haven't loaded up all my tabbed pages, but you can look for that to be coming soon!

So today is Wednesday and there is a new Whimsie Wednesday Challenge issued over at Paper Craft Planet in the Whimsie Doodles ForumSheri has challenged us to create a card with a LOVE theme.  I hope that you will play along with us over at PCP and also upload your creations to SCS using the key words whimsiedoodles, and WWC18.

Sheri named the challenge "Love is in the Air" so I took it rather literally and made the adorable
image be stage front floating on some clouds for this Valentine's Day Card!

The card is an Easel card that I found directions for over at SCS in the Resources section.  I colored  Cloud Nine Leah with Copic markers in colors to coordinate with the adorable Junkitz DP you see here.  The final touches were the flowers from Prima and MM that also help keep the Easel card held in position, the ribbon from an unknown source and the brad from BG.

Whimsie Doodles is releasing some new stamps on Feb 12th!
And we have a fantastic blog hop planned for you!! Of course there will be chances to win some FREE stamps too, so I hope that you will be sure to visit all the participating blogs.  More details to come on this fun filled event!!

Have a great whimsical Wednesday and may your bucket overflow with the kind of love that leaves you feeling like you are on cloud nine!!

I hired the talented services of Veronica McCollum to turn my previously cluttered and more serious blog into a light and cheerful graphic version that is filled with lots of white space!!  We kept the same theme to my blog but just had some fun with it!  She has added post dividers, Side Bar titles and a new animated signature to complete the look!  I am in love with it!!  But more importantly, I hope you love it too!!  I mean you guys look at it more than I do from this angle!! It's a Happy Birthday H{ippity} Hop!

Happy Birthday Lisa!!

Ok, so the DT members are guilty of hijacking today's H{ippity} Hop and using it to wish our very special DT member Lisa a Happy Birthday!!

Lisa, I am so happy to be on the {ippity} DT with you and hope that you have a very special day!

I made a card in honor of you (and it is on it's way to you via snail mail as we speak.)  I wanted to make sure that it didn't get to you before we could surprise you today!!  Hopefully you will get it soon!

To make this card I used two different {ippity} stamps sets.
Because of You and
Just Wanted to Say

I paper pieced the bird on the frame that comes in the Just Wanted to Say set and I chose to use the birthday sentiment!  The DP is from the BG Origins collection.  I just love the vibrant colors of this set!

Notice on the light brown background paper that I stamped the flower from the Because of You set to create my own patterned paper.  The big yellow sun flowers were some silk flowers that I purchased a long time ago from Michael's.

I tried very hard to make a card as beautiful as I feel my dear DT member Lisa is!! I think I succeeded!!

I hope she likes it!!

So for today's H{ippity} Hop there is a new challenge to make a Valentine card.  Michelle is hosting today and has a prize picked out for a special winner who plays along with us today! I hope that you will play along with us too!

To access the list of all the blogs filled with {ippity} goodness, please go to the {ippity} blog and start at the beginning!!

If you are interested in purchasing any of the {ippity} stamp sets you saw used on today's cards, or if you are interested in taking advantage of the clearance sale I have going on, or if you want to pre-order the soon-to-be-released stamp sets, just visit my {ippity sales blog to order yours today!

Once again, Happy Birthday Lisa! I hope your day is filled with things that bring you pleasure and that your bucket overflows with ones who love you very much!!

Apple of My Eye

Hello my Friends with Flair!!

It's Friday which means it's another fun day to share our Unity Stamp Co. creations
with each other!!  UNFORTUNATELY I haven't had much extra time to play with all the
fabulous new stamps I have recently gotten from Unity... but FORTUNATELY,
I have something I had previously made to share with you!  LOL!

This is another one of the projects that I made for the October Dirty Dozen Gallery!  The theme was Treats All-Around!  I made this container from scratch and someday want to share with you how I created it.  But I haven't been able to make the template for it just yet!

This was made to be a gift for someone over the Halloween and Fall holidays.  I purchased the premade caramel and nut coated apple from my local Grocery store and just repackaged it into something a little more presentable!

The Unity stamps I used are the apple and the sentiment from the Hodge Podge of Happiness set.  That is one of my all-time favorite sets along with Everyday Adorable!!  They both have the cutest images!!

Anyway, here is a list of all the supplies used:

Stamps: Apple and Sentiment: Unity (Hodge Podge of Hapiness)
Paper: Cosmo Cricket: Mr Campy; The Greeting Farm; Clear Sheet: ShortCuts
Ink: SU: Chocolate Chip; Copic markers
Accessories: Brads: BG; Eyelets: MM; Nestabilities; Ribbon: Cosmo Cricket; Pom Pom fringe: Joann's

I hope that you have a wonderful time hopping to all the blogs with some fabulous Unity on them!! Be sure to check out the Unity Blog HERE to start at the beginning and see them all!!

Also for some {ippity} fun, be sure to check out today's Fresh Idea Friday post by me!  It should be live by 11am EST!!  Have a great Friday and may your bucket overflow with lots of inspiration from today's hop!!

I'm Seeing Red!!

I'm seeing RED and it's a bunch of Whimsie Doodles Stitched Hearts!!!  LOL!!

Today I am sharing with you a card that I made for two challenges. The first one is for this week's Whimsie Wednesday Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet.  Thanh, the uber talented co-DT member of mine at Whimsie Doodles has issued the challenge called Seeing Red!!  She wants us to use predominately RED on our card or project this week!

The second challenge is for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger this week... (I told you I wanted to pretend that today was still Tuesday in my last post! LOL!)  Cath has given us this fabulous picture as our trigger this week. This gorgeous framed piece was created by Alicia Thelin.

So combining these two challenges, this is what I came up with...

Besides the hearts on the grid from the inspiration piece, I was also inspired by the name of the Whimsie Doodles Hearts that I used from the Lil Cupid collection.  They are called Stitched Hearts!  So I added lots of stitching around each of the hearts, plus you can see that these digi hearts come with stitching already incorporated in them when you print them out!  I liked the country feel it gave me!

The sentiment is a Rub on that I have had in my stash for a while from Making Memories (I think!)  I added the gingham ribbon, button and bow to add to the country feel!

Red is one of my favorite colors so this was fun to do.  It will go in my stash of Valentine cards to give out this year!!

I hope that two posts today makes up for the few posts I have published in the recent past!  I am trying lick Heck to get back to my regular creative routine.  It feels great to be making cards again!! I so missed it!!

Have a great day and I will be back tomorrow!!  May your bucket overflow with things that make you see RED in a good way!!  LOL!!

A Clean and Simple Challenge

Can we pretend it is Tuesday still?

Where did my yesterday and end of Monday go?  I have been chomping at the bit to get to my craft desk and start the nearly one zillion projects that I have to make before the 15th, but time just keeps slipping past me!  Work is still crazy busy... much more than usual!  I am trying to cope with all of it, and just wish I could cut back and stay at home more!!  I think stamping is important don't you?  LOL!!

Anyway, I was SO HONORED this week when Jen (MissBoo on SCS,) chose my card to be CASED for the Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS52) on SCS this week!  Talk about making me feel good, especially because I don't consider myself naturally to be a CAS kind of girl.  But after hanging out on that forum a bit, I have learned so much about the CAS style and how important the balance, coloring and design are when doing those types of cards!

Here is the card that is being featured...

Thanks So Mush(room)
Stamps Used: {ippity}: Because of You, Just Wanted to Say
Ink: Stampin Up, DP: K & Co.

Jen is asking that we play along by using the sketch from the above card for our inspiration! I hope you will play along too and upload your card into the Gallery and include the keyword CAS52.

I wanted to play along too, but since I had the sketch down already, I decided to add an additional challenge for me and make it a MASCULINE card to boot!!  Now we all know how challenging those can be right?

The perfect masculine card to make was for my step son's birthday which is today!!  I used the number collage stamp from the Life's Little Moments set from {ippity} and stamped it three times on the Kraft cardstock using SU's Chocolate Chip ink.

Next I used Basic Grey  number stickers (which didn't match so I colored them with my Copics!) and applied them to the accent circle to represent how old he is.  The strip of DP is from the BG Blush collection.  I also added the paper piercing and twine to add texture yet keep it masculine.

And for the final touch I added the sentiment which is from {ippity's} Just Wanted to Say set. This came together really quickly and got the seal of approval from my DH too!!  Sometimes it is hard for me to keep masculine cards masculine!! LOL!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS!!

I love you and hope that you have a phenomenal day!  I know that this world holds so many opportunities for you to succeed and it is my prayer that you reach out, grasp them and hang on to them until you become the man that you always dreamt you would be!  I am looking forward to celebrating your birthday with you tonight!

Thomas and Jess (his girlfriend) in December

So since we pretended that today was Tuesday (for my post's sake), I will be back soon with my Whimsie Wednesday Post too!! Have a great day and may your bucket overflow with all the time in the world you desire to spend on your papercrafting!!

Hippity Hop Birthday Style

Happy Monday everyone and Happy H{ippity} Hop!!

What a great hop this will be today.  Not only do we have lots of our regular talented participants, but I noticed a few of the Unity DT girls have signed up for today's hop as well.  So, we should be extra inspired by all the {ippity} creations that the fans will be sharing!

Lisa is hosting the H{ippity} Hop today and this week's challenge (IHHC9) which is to make a Birthday card using our {ippity} stamps.  Certainly most of the {ippity} sets could be used to make a birthday card with, but two come to mind right off the bat that are perfect for them!  Both "Just Wanted to Say" and Life's Little Moments have sentiments that will perfectly compliment any birthday  card you need to make!

Because I was using the Birthday sentiment stamp from Just Wanted to Say, it gave me a great chance to use a new embellishment that I bought from JoAnn's recently.  It is the cute little chipboard cupcake covered in epoxy from Colorbok called the Sweet Life.  Isn't it cute??

I am still working my way through all the SCS Sketch Challenges and used SC10 for this one.  I kept it true to form and just added a ribbon underneath the image panel!.

I also added the Bracket from Life's Little Moments that I cut out and raised up to accent the cupcake!  The DP is from a Birthday pack called All Kinds of Happy from Imaginisce. I added machine stitching to the edges of all the panels!

If you are ready to get inspired by a lot more {ippity} be sure to head straight over to the {ippity}blog for the line up of blogs to visit!  Thanks for stopping by and for your patience in waiting for me to get some more creations on my blog. I am officially back in the swing of things and you should be seeing cards and projects from me on a regular basis!
Have a great Monday and may your bucket overflow with lots of {ippity} inspiration.  Be sure to check out my {ippity} Sales blog for some specials on the featured stamp sets used today!
