REAL Hugs and Kisses!

OK don't even ask me to explain what has happened to my life, but it seems that just a few minutes ago it was Tuesday and all was well and then, well you know what they say.... All He** broke loose!!  I can't believe it is Thursday and that I haven't blogged in a couple of days!!  Man!! I hate when that happens!!

I finished this project late Tuesday night and after waiting for the stickles to dry, I just didn't have the energy to get my blog post ready.  And now here it is Thursday evening and I am finally getting the chance to do it!!

I made my project today for the current challenge going on over at the Paper Craft Planet in the Whimsie Doodles Forum.  Kelli gave us the challenge this week and it is called Keeping it Real.  We were supposed to substitute something stamped with something real.!!  Like if there is a hair bow on the stamped image, instead of coloring in the bow, you could attach a real ribbon made into a bow!!  Get it??

Well my project involves chocolate, so I know all my lady friends are going to love this one!! I have put REAL Hershey Hugs and Kisses inside this cute container I found on line!!  I guess I didn't really substitute my candy for the stamped ones, but I did include REAL ones too!

I call this the Whimsie Doodle Kit and Kaboodle!!  It also qualifies for this week's challenge on Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog.  Their challenge was to create a Valentine's Day Card using a digistamp.  This isn't exactly a card, but it is still the right theme!

Kit and Kaboodle is the name that the creator of this project, Rochelle Wick calls it.  So I didn't want to change that.  You can see her blog post about her creation HERE!  And you can also get the instructions for the project from the ScorPal website HERE!

This little teepee shaped holder is the perfect container to hold six Hershey Kisses and Hugs!  Isn't it  just adorable??  I printed the XO border strip from Whimsie Doodle's latest release called Lil Cupid onto pink CS twice, so that when it was folded according to the directions, the border was right side up for both the front and back portions.  I then colored and embellished the digital  "Hugs and Kisses with Copics and Stickles!  The REAL Hugs and Kisses (the chocolate) are hidden inside!!  LOL!

I created the tag using the same Lil Cupid digistamp set and did some masking on the computer screen to alter the sentiment to say the phrase you see above.  The original sentiment in the stamp set just says "for my Sweetie."

From this angle you can see how the Stickles really makes the hearts (hugs) pop!!

I colored the letters and candies in with my Copic markers.  Have I told you my really exciting news yet??  This Sunday I will be travelling to Sarasota to get Copics certified.  Woohoo!! I am so happy about this and can't wait.  I have all four of the Ciao Copic sets and the airbrush system, so I am stoked about getting to improve on my techniques.  If you look closely at my projects, you will see that I need some improvement!!  LOL!

Gonna call it a night!  I am happy I finally got to share this with you!  I will be back in the morning with some Unity stuff!! It is FWF Friday tomorrow!!

Have a great night and may your bucket overflow with all kinds of hugs and kisses...the REAL ones and the chocolate ones too!!

Let's Make Gingerbread Men!!

It's that time of year when it is fun to plan family activities that involve making memories and spending time together.  The holidays ilicit so many memories in my mind and I love to make traditions that we can continue each year. One year we made gingerbread houses and had such a good time doing it, but due to certain circumstances the following years, it never got repeated and never became a tradition.  Maybe this is the year we can try it again!!

Just in case we decide to have a Gingerbread making party this year, I already have one invitation ready!!

OK, I am just teasing... I actually made these for a Card challenge going on over at the PaperCraft Planet's Whimsie Doodles group.  My fellow DT member Joni, had put out a challenge for all of us to create a project using two images that come from two different Whimsie Doodles sets.  I thought how cute to use all the Gingers to make this invitation. So my invitation images come from  FOUR different sets!!  I think I should win a prize!!! LOL!!

Speaking of prizes, there are  some really good things going on over there, so if you are a fan of Whimsie Doodles stamps, or want to see more of them in use, you should sign up at the PCP site and join our group.

HERE is the link for you!

We will be choosing our Guest Designers for upcoming month's from the submissions to our PCP Challenges and we also have occasional free images for our members there.  So please stop by and check it out!

So, onto today's project... my Gingerbread Party Invitation...

This is a flat invitation sized 4.25 x 5.5, so I could make four out of one 8.5x 11 sheet.  To keep it simple and flat for easier mailing, I simply inserted all my digi images onto a sheet of paper and also added my text boxes and just printed them all at once.  Then I colored my images in using Copics and added a touch of an opaque pen for the icing on tall the Gingers.  Don't look too closely at the white, because it was hard to keep it in these tiny lines!!

The adorable DP is a new one that I got from my LSS and is made by Anna Griffin.  I also used Brown CS from Bazzill, and Red CS from the Paper Co.  The decorative border punch is from Martha Stewart!

It does sound like a fun get together and maybe I just ought to plan on having this party!!  Hope you are having a great day and by the lateness of this post, you may have gathered that I have been busy at work today!!

I'll be back tomorrow with a Sweet Sketch Wednesday post, so be sure to come back.

Also, thanks to Lindsay Spencer, (one of the talented artists for Unity and Ippity stamps) I learned that the link to my Ippity blog in yesterday's post was not working, so if you want to check out my new site where I will be selling Ippity, you can do so HEREMore to come on this in the near future!

Have a great night and may your bucket be overflowing with exciting plans for your upcoming holiday season!
