Sweet Santa!

Happy Wednesday!!
I just love my Wednesdays because it is that time of the week that I get to share with you the card I made for the new Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch that is just released on the SSW blog! This week we are up to sketch number 14!!

The exciting news is that The Digi Shack is sponsoring this week's sketch which means that a prize is in store for one lucky winner who participates in today's challenge!! Can I get a woot woot???? For more details and to see how to enter, please visit the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Blog!

So on to today's sketch...

And here is the card that I made (I know it's a little early for Christmas already, but you have to understand that I am a Santa Clause freak and couldn't pass this digi up!!)

The Santa digi image that I used can be found HERE! The "ho ho ho" sentiment is from a cheap dollar bin set that I think I picked up at Michael's. To make the belt buckle I used one of the letters that is designed to go through a ribbon from Joann's but just made sure that I covered up the letter so all you could see was the frame. The red dotted paper is from K&Co and if you look closely, you can see that I trimmed out the card with tiny strips of gold that are made from Flower Soft and come with adhesive already on them.

Four gold brads were added as accents to the four corners of the image panel and I used my Tiny Mosaic texture plate in my cuttlebug to make the belt have a leather look to it. My circle and scalloped nesties were used to fram the image.

If you look closely you can see that I added white fluff to santa's hat trim and ball and colored his glasses with a gold opaque pen. The rest of him was colored with my Copic markers. Around the beard all I did was add light shades of gray and let the white CS do the rest!

This one is going into my slowly growing collection of Christmas cards that will be sent out this year. I have so many more to do... I better be getting busy very soon!!

Have a really sweet Wednesday and be sure to visit the SSW blog to see all the other Digi Shack creations made using this week's sketch! And may your bucket overflow with sweet things all day!
