Luck O' the Irish!

I feel lucky...Oh so lucky (sung to the tune of "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story)

What a funny coincidence that on St. Patrick's Day the Irish girl that I am just found out that she won some blog candy! I entered one of my card creations to the Inspirational Card Sketches Blog last week and my entry was selected randomly as the winner today! I am so happy and excited!! Thanks so much Dawn!
The cool part is that I have won three downloads from The Cutting CAFE webstore. I have never tried printable stamps, so I think that is what I will do with my gift certificate! I see a lot of images that I would love to try! Thanks Regina for your generosity!!
Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to color printable stamped images? I would think that my Copics would make the ink run... what type of coloring medium do you guys use? Please leave me a comment if you have any experience with this type of stamping. Thanks!
If you haven't ever played along, you should join in on this week's ICS challenge. It is a sketch that looks like a tag that could be added to a card front or layout. Here is the sketch for this week's challenge...

Click here for more details about the challenge and also how you could be a lucky winner for next week's drawing! I hope to have a sample for you by tomorrow or atleast some time this week!

Now on to today's challenges (and of course it is plural! LOL!!)

I made one card that can fit into four challenges... Here is the card I made...

The Fine Print: DP: BG; CS: SU and The Paper Co.; Stamps: Stems from the Definitely Decorative Gladsome Gardens set; Ink: SU River Rock, Amuse, Sakura Gelly Roller and Versa Mark Jumbo Java; Gems and Twill tape sources unknown.

The sketch comes from Julee and it is the Mojo Monday 78 sketch from her blog. The only thing I did differently was to to round the corners because I chose to use BG papers and also enter this in the BG challenge from Saturday! The color choices come from SCS today where the Color Challenge was called Krafty Riding Sun because we were supposed to use Riding Hood red, Summer Sun and Kraft with an option of using black.

These were really hard colors for me today! I ended up finding that my BG DP coordinated well with those colors, but ordinarily I wouldn't have accented those colors from the DP if it weren't for the challenge. I kind of like it because of its boldness, but it really was a challenge for me! :-)

Finally I also added gems to the card which qualifies the card to fit the challenge at Spoon Full of Sugar today! It is kind of funny that the collection of DP I used also has sugar in the name!! It is called Sugared and it's from Basic Grey.

Here is a better angle showing the shimmer it has by adding the Sakura Gelly Roll Pen to the outlines of the stamped stems.

My luck may have run out for me for the rest of the day since I will be heading in to work for at least three deliveries! There will be no green beer, corned beef and cabbage or hanging out with my husband and his friends at the local pub! Maybe next year!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and may your bucket overflow with good luck and good fortune!

A stunning card Kelly and it really does have wonderful impact! The papers you used with the SCS colour challenge work wonderfully together. A great layout too. Glad you could join BG this week. Chris :)

Oh, forgot to mention regarding your question for digital image colouring. I find that leaving the image to dry for a good amount of time or heat setting it with your heat gun stops any smudging of the ink. I've used both alcohol markers to colour and distress inks to watercolour and they both work perfectly. Hope this helps. Chris
